Janice C. So RMT

Registered Massage Therapy

Deep-pressure, fascial-stretch, nerve and spinal decompression techniques

Janice is a skilled practitioner with 8 years experience in multidisciplinary practices, from clinics to hospital settings, specializing in deep tissue, fascial release and neuropathies. She has facilitated pain management and recovery for acute and chronic pain, post-thoracic & orthopedic surgeries, stroke recovery, post-concussion injuries, breast massage – post mastectomy/implant surgeries, and special-needs ambulatory patients. Her clientele ranges from weekend warriors, professional athletes (MMA, golfers, tennis and hockey players, dancers/ballerinas), children and everyday 9-5’ers - all seeking out a more specialized & specific made-to-measure treatment plan.

With her previous background as a competitive athlete (Canadian Provincial and National rhythmic gymnastics team; trained in Moscow Russia; with the Bolshoi Theater and Ballet Company & Cirque du Soleil), 8 years practice of counseling as a talk therapist, and 20+ years of yoga and mindfulness meditation, Janice has a very unique understanding of the mind-body connection and functional anatomy. Her personal experiences of recovery from sports injuries to chronic pain rehab after a severe car accident in her twenties give her intuitive insight on how to listen to the body, alleviate pain, create structural integrity through both stabilization/strength training & increasing range of motion, as well as create balance - not only in our physical bodies but our overall well being.

Outside the clinic Janice has many joys in life; being nature bound with her toothless dog Marley, traveling, cooking, breathwork, fishing & hunting, as well as exploring plant and alternative medicine modalities such as psychedelic research. She believes optimal health can take many shapes & forms, and remains curious on the path of her evolution.
